Tagnetix designs, prototypes, field-tests, manufactures, and manages supply chain for custom embedded RFID and NFC components — with full firmware and software integration, and the option to ship under your brand name. One partner. End to end.
Every product has constraints that commodity RFID components were not designed around — form factor, substrate material, operating environment, protocol stack, or the need to carry your brand. Tagnetix was built to solve exactly this.
Non-standard antenna geometry, flex substrates, curved surfaces, or sub-25mm footprints that catalog parts cannot accommodate.
High-temperature, high-humidity, IP-rated, or proximity-to-metal requirements that demand engineered substrate and geometry choices.
Custom firmware behavior, proprietary data formats, host MCU integration, or cloud connectivity requirements beyond the standard IC feature set.
Your product carries your brand. Components that ship with your part numbers, your markings, and your supply chain — not a third-party catalog item.
Tagnetix manages every phase of custom RFID component development. You define the requirements. We do the rest.
We start with a structured requirements session — frequency band selection, read range targets, form factor constraints, substrate and environmental requirements, protocol stack, and integration points with your host system. The output is a written RF system specification that governs all subsequent design decisions.
Antenna coil geometry is designed using electromagnetic simulation — optimizing for read range, impedance match, Q-factor, and near-field uniformity within your form factor. We select substrate material, trace geometry, and matching network topology before a single prototype is built. S11 target and impedance match are defined at design stage.
Initial prototypes are fabricated and characterized on the bench — S11 return loss, read range curves at rated reader output power, detuning behavior on target substrate materials, and thermal performance if required. We iterate on geometry until the antenna meets specification. All characterization data is documented and supplied to you.
For reader modules, we develop embedded firmware for your host MCU — driver code, protocol handling, tag memory management, power management, and communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C). Where cloud or app connectivity is required, we build the full software stack: data pipeline, backend API, mobile or desktop application.
Lab characterization is necessary but not sufficient. We validate the integrated RF system in the target application environment — accounting for metal proximity, EMI from nearby electronics, temperature variation, and mechanical installation tolerances. Field validation confirms real-world performance before production commitment.
Once field validation is complete, we manage the transition to production — DFM review, supplier qualification, first article inspection, and quality-controlled production runs at the volumes your program requires. We manage the BOM, procurement, and logistics. You receive finished, tested, labeled components ready for assembly.
ATRI Solutions — the parent company behind Tagnetix — is a full-stack product engineering company. Custom RFID programs have access to the full depth of that capability.
Hardware-level antenna design — coil geometry, substrate selection, impedance matching, radiation pattern optimization. HF, LF, and UHF. Rigid and flex PCB. Simulation-driven from day one.
Full reader module electronics design in Altium — mixed-signal layout, EMC compliance, power management, multi-layer PCB. From schematic through production-ready Gerbers.
MISRA-compliant firmware for FreeRTOS and bare-metal targets — reader IC drivers, protocol stacks, tag memory management, power modes, UART/SPI/I2C interfaces, and OTA update.
IoT platform architecture, AWS IoT Core integration, MQTT/gRPC pipelines, real-time dashboards, and multi-region cloud deployments for products that connect RFID data to the cloud.
Native iOS and Android applications, NFC tap interfaces, BLE companion apps, and desktop software for products that interact with users through a smartphone or workstation.
FCC Part 15, CE marking, and RF device regulatory compliance — managed through our qualified global lab network. Designed in from the first architecture decision.
Products built on Tagnetix custom components can ship with your company name, your part numbers, and your branding on the physical hardware. ATRI Solutions and Tagnetix do not appear anywhere on the finished component unless you choose otherwise.
This is not a label swap. We design and manufacture the component to your specification — it is yours from the first Gerber to the last production run.
Discuss private labeling →Illustration only. Your company name, part number scheme, and specification language — on the physical component and in all documentation.
Every item below is available as part of a custom Tagnetix engagement — taken as a complete end-to-end program or scoped to the phases you need.
